#sowebake our favourite chocolate gugl recipe in anticipation of the weekend

chocolate is a keeper. we don’t have to beat around the bush here. and it is nice to start the weekend with the smell of fresh and still warm chocolate cake. thanks to anja’s easy-peasy quick stir and bake recipe, you can even manage to pull this off when you only have 30 minutes to put the ingredients together, clean the kitchen, feed the cat, find your kid’s favourite toy car that has gone missing in the morning and open all the windows in the house to spread the chocolate smell before it’s time to shake off the seriousness of the work-week & start the weekend.

so here you go, our version of anja’s soft and moist, faster than fast chocolate gugl:

3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
10g vanilla sugar
5 tbs cocoa powder
5 tbs hot chocolate powder
50g of chopped dark or milk chocolate
10 tbs oil
2 tbs vinegar
2 ts baking soda
1 pinch of salt
1 cup water
1 cup (soy/ almond etc.) milk

mix all ingredients together adding the baking soda at the end. we once used fancy marzipan flavoured hot chocolate powder and cinnamon to add a little extra spice.

fill the dough into the gugl mold and bake for about 35 minutes at 180 degree celsius.
remove from the oven when the cake passes the toothstick-dough test (toothstick comes out clean with no wet dough sticking to it).
after baking let the cake cool down, before you remove the mold.

and then: enjoy the approaching weekend, not long now (YAY for fridays), & stay healthy!
